FAQ: Frequently asked questions at stylink

The link sticker has replaced the swipe-up function on Instagram. And now comes the next change: Everyone is able to use the link sticker in the future. You can add the link sticker to your story, just like all other stickers.

Great news: The 'swipe-up' function has been replaced with the new 'link sticker'. Even better, the link sticker is available for everyone, regardless of how many followers you have! You can add the link sticker to your stories, just like normal stickers. This way, you can direct more attention to your links and generate more clicks, thanks to the improved accessibility.

With stylink you have the possibility to make product recommendations to your followers and subscribers. You can share the affiliate links generated with our Linkmaker either in your Instagram stories, Pinterest boards, your blog or in your YouTube description box. Be sure to check out our detailed instructions. You can sign up for stylink using your email address and creating a password.

Step 1:
To register, simply click on the "Login" button on the top right corner or click here. Use your e-mail address and password to create an account. When you have completed the registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us. Click on the link to complete your registration. Afterwards, you can log in with your e-mail address and password.

Step 2:
Now you're ready to go! Select your desired online shop and search for the product you want to recommend to your followers. Copy the product link into the Linkmaker box that you find in your stylink account. Make sure you choose between Instagram and YouTube before creating your affiliate link.  After your link is converted you can now share it on your desired account.

Step 3:
You can simply copy the affiliate link and paste it into your Insta-Story as a link sticker. Select a design of your choice. Alternatively, you can copy the affiliate link into your description box on YouTube instead of Instagram. Don't forget to mark your content as an advertisement.

After your registration, you can use our Linkmaker to create affiliate links for your YouTube videos. Simply choose "YouTube" before converting any product links into affiliate links. Point this out to your followers in your videos to increase your chances of clicks.

Every YouTuber, who wants to recommend products authentically, can use stylink. There are no special requirements such as a certain number of subscribers or views. If you are running a YouTube channel, you can use stylink without any restrictions.

To ensure that as many viewers as possible see your affiliate links, you should place the links high up in the description box. The first one or two sentences should be a meaningful description of your video with the most important keywords. The affiliate links from stylink should follow directly after that. This way, viewers don't have to scroll far down, and they can see the links right away.

Don't worry, updating your statistics can take up to 24 hours.
Once your statistics have been updated, they may differ from your Instagram insights. This is because foreign or double clicks are not counted.
Our system needs some time to evaluate and count your links. Thus, you can usually see your commission and click figures about 24 hours after you have posted a link.

You can view the clicks in your stylink account. To do so, log in at stylink.com/au, click on "my compensation" and you will be taken directly to your statistics. Here you will see your open commission as well as an overview of your links, including your clicks.

In order to increase the number of clicks, we recommend that you present varying products to your community. One option would be to link products from many different shops. You should also post interesting stories on Instagram and YouTube videos that are visually appealing. It's also important to consider the feedback and reactions of your followers and YouTube subscribers to get a feel for what's well-received by your community. Updating the statistics usually takes up to 24 hours.

Once your statistics are updated on stylink, they may differ from your Instagram Insights. That is because we do not count foreign (outside of Australia) and double clicks.

For every link you have created, make sure that you have copied it correctly into the Linkmaker. You should also check afterwards on Instagram or YouTube whether you have inserted the converted link (i.e. your affiliate link) and not the normal shop link.

No, you only need to enter your bank details if you wish to request your compensation of at least AUD 20,00. Please make sure to put in the correct details and especially your full name, otherwise we cannot process your request.

You can easily add your tax ID to your stylink account. In the case that you need to submit this information, we will send you a customized document which you can use for your tax advisor or your tax return. Please note, gift cards that you may receive as part of a collaboration may also be subject to income tay in your country.

You can have your compensation paid out in your stylink account starting from an amount of AUD 20,00.

Please recheck your request and make sure that all your bank details are correct. Please make sure to put in the correct details and especially your full name, otherwise we cannot process your request. If that's the case, some other important information you should consider:  If you make your request between Monday to Friday before noon, we will transfer your payment within 24 hours. If you request your payout on the weekend or on a bank holiday, we will process it the next working day. Afterwards, it usually takes up to three working days until your money is on your account.

You will receive a confirmation by e-mail for each payment request, which you can use independently for your tax return. If you have a tax ID, you can add it to your stylink account afterwards. This will then be listed on your receipts in the future. Please note, gift cards that you may receive as part of a collaboration may also be subject to income tay in your country.

An algorithm regularly adjusts your shop compensation according to the performance of your affiliate links. In addition to the performance, the click compensation also depends on the shop regulations. The exact amount varies from shop to shop and from time to time.

The use of stylink is and remains free - for you, your followers and subscribers. You can create and share the affiliate links at any time and without obligation. You also have the possibility to delete your account at any time.

No, there is no app. stylink works for your followers and for you without any additional app or complicated software. This is especially advantageous for your followers and YouTube subscribers, because they can click your affiliate links and buy products without using an additional app.

In addition to your product recommendations, you can apply for our recurring brand collaborations. stylink cooperates with different brands and we will inform you about our collaborations via newsletters. We also announce the campaigns on our Instagram channel (@stylinkofficial_us.au). If you would like to participate in our collaborations, you must be registered at stylink and subscribe to our newsletter.

The idea behind stylink is that you are making recommendations. You can recommend an existing product that you own such as clothing, cosmetics, decorative items and etc. You can also pass on your shopping ideas and inspirations to your followers through affiliate links. This means you do not have to buy new products or own the products you are recommending.

You can post as much as you want — stylink is a non-binding platform. As an influencer and/or YouTuber, we would like to support you in growing your reach and your community. Therefore, we recommend you post up to 5-6 daily stories with affiliate links from stylink. Don't forget to mark your content as an advertisement. Of course, you must comply with legal requirements and current jurisdiction. Please refer to our general terms and conditions for further details. It is not allowed to click more than once on your own links. Our algorithm recognises click fraud in the form of manual as well as automated clicks. This behaviour has consequences ranging from downgrades in compensation to the locking of your account.

We have some content ideas for you to make your stories more attractive:

• Create a Wishlist: Share the products you wish to buy with your followers. Whether seasonal, for special occasions or planned investments — you decide!
• Current trends: Trends are passing, but you remain loyal to your taste. Share your personal selection of products on the latest trends with your followers.
• Hauls: You just came home from a shopping tour? Share your latest purchases with your subscribers.
• All-time favourites: Sometimes you have a wardrobe full of clothes, boxes of decorations and drawers full of make-up, but in the end, you always pick up your favourites. Share these favourites with your followers.
• OOTD: Whether casual or chic — share your daily outfits with your subscribers.
